“I am Malala!” Malala Yousafzai Becomes Youngest Ever To Receive Nobel Peace Prize

Today, Malala Yousafzai, age 17, became the youngest recipient to ever receive the Nobel Peace Prize alongside co-recipient Kailash Satyarthi, Malala gave a humble, yet powerful speech and dedicated her prize to all children that have been denied education. She plans to donate her prize money to the Malala fund.

“Education went from being a right to being a crime. […] I had two options. One, was to remain silent; wait to be killed. And the second was to speak up and then be killed. I chose the second one. I decided to speak up.” Malala Yousafzai

Yousafzai used her speech as an opportunity to call out those “strong” government who use their resources to start wars instead of universal education.
